COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. WHAT COOKIES ARE

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. Similar technologies, such as tracking pixels and your browser's local storage, work in much the same way, and this policy calls all of them cookies. It explains which cookies eatlebab.com uses, what they do and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES

These keep the website secure and working, for example by protecting our enquiry and newsletter forms from spam. The site cannot work properly without them. Cloudflare sets _cfuvid for this, and it is deleted when you close your browser.

3. ANALYTICS COOKIES

These show us how visitors find and use the website so we can improve it. We look at this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify you. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_PGYMGBPL4Y, which last up to 13 months. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can find problems. It sets _clck (up to 12 months) and _clsk (1 day) on our site, and CLID, MUID and related cookies on Microsoft's domains for up to 13 months.

4. MARKETING COOKIES

These help us measure our advertising and show our adverts to people likely to be interested in them. Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram, sets _fbp, which lasts 3 months. Google's advertising tags may store _gcl_ls in your browser to measure Google Ads, where it stays until you clear it.

5. OTHER SERVICES ON OUR SITE

Some features come from other companies, which may set their own cookies when you use them. Table bookings run through OpenTable, and our forms are protected by Cloudflare. Links to Google Maps, Deliveroo, WhatsApp and social media take you to sites with their own cookie policies.

6. HOW TO CONTROL COOKIES

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site, such as our enquiry forms, may stop working. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can change how Meta uses your information for adverts in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.

8. CONTACT US

If you have questions about cookies or how we use your data, email info@eatlebab.com or write to Le Bab, 4 Mercer Walk, London, WC2H 9FA. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights.
